Contrary to Popular Belief...

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
Wellston Ridge is an older apartment community in the Warner Robins area. However, it is well-maintained with a country-esque feel surrounding it's apartments. The community is located off Watson Blvd. behind Golden Key Realty. If you're not looking for it, you might miss the entrance.
Wellston offers 1, 2, & 3 bedroom apartments with a townhome (2-level) or flat (1-level) option for the 2 & 3 bdrm apts. (The 1 bdrms are all townhomes.) I stayed in a 2 bdrm townhome for a period of 6 months in early 2005. It was 1,100 square feet overall, had washer/dryer conn., a wood-burning fireplace, & even had a microwave in the kitchen.
I came to live in Warner Robins due to a military transfer, & needed an apartment on short notice. The management staff of Wellston was more than willing to accomodate my moving schedule. I applied for the apartment & was approved the same day. I moved in the following day.
During my stay, all maint. requests that I reported to the leasing office were handled in a timely manner. If I needed follow-up maint. done, the maint. staff on-site were friendly & willing to help in anyway they could. Because the apartment was older, I did have more request than if I were to stay at a newer community, but my requests were always handled promptly, so I didn't feel that there was much of an issue with the age of the apartment.
The mgmt. & maint. staff were always friendly & helpful during my stay. If I had an issue, I always felt I could speak with the manager or her assistant & it would be dealt with as soon as possible. The staff was always approachable & friendly no matter the circumstance. They went out of their way to accomodate my schedule for maint. requests & emergency maint.
In reference to bills, my apartment's electric bill was pretty high. I normally paid anywhere from $120 to $150 for my electricity. Again, I would contribute this to it being an older apartment; plus, it was a townhome. I also paid a water/sewer/trash bill. I paid $20-25 for 2 people, so it wasn't a horrible bill, but it isn't included in the rent.
Another possible downside was the parking. The community is located in the valley between several hills. This made for some interesting parking. Some areas of the community had plenty of parking spaces, and others only had 1 space per apartment.
Overall, my experience was a pleasant one. I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere that the community & staff presented. I would certainly rent there again.
