Unfortunately this place has gone to hell to put it bluntly. I was a resident here when Alta opened, and most buildings were still not even finished yet, and we had not PO Boxes yet - management would go to the PO and pick our mail up for us. So I have seen it all. It was beautiful at Alta, the inside of the apartments beautifully designed, appliances and amenities were outstanding, people were friendly and took pride in the complex.

Now with the influx of college kids from Kennesaw, Katrina victims, and the low income this place is becoming a dump. It reminds me of public housing which yes I have lived in before. I am not dogging on low income because I was for most my life, nor college students because I was one of those too. Katrina victims - some are decent some don't care and they give people a bad impression about them as a group.

Just because you are low income does not mean you have to have a low income attitude. My mom always taught me - it does not matter how poor you are - you can and will be clean and respectful, with people and things. Unfortunately there are too many people who don't feel the same way and they will live their lives trashing their lives and their communities and disrespecting their neighbors.

I am really sad and disappointed in the direction this complex is heading. It could have been so different.
