I really hate this place. I have 2 small children who can't sleep at night because of the noise and cussing going on outside our apartment. I've only been here for 4 months and have had to call the police every other night.(no exaggeration). There is constantly people outside cussing...Loudly. I don't want my kids to hear that, especially not at 3:30am. One time there was a whole group of them out there and a car drove by them and some of them scattered, running and diving between cars; I guess thinking the car driving by was a cop. That made me feel real safe. These people probably have warrants out or something. I cannot have my kids here.
I know apartments are noisey and everything, but is it too much to ask for a little peace and quiet' The people above me have a little Rhino for a kid. I swear she doesn't have a sleeping schedule. She is constantly running and jumping off things. It makes it very hard for my kids to take there afternoon naps.
And the whole gate issue is just ridiculous. They are constantly failing. The apartment sent out a letter to everyone a few weeks ago about all the problems with the complex: the gates, the noise after 9pm, to dog crap everywhere. They said the problem with the gates was due to lightening strikes. Well ok I would believe that, except that the big storm we had a couple of months ago that put the gates out of commission for a few weeks was the one time. They finally fixed the gate, and not kidding, they broke two days later. No storm, clear skies. I'm sick of it. I need out and I need my deposit back.
Does anyone know if they let you sublet your apartment'

I left early but I still had to pay what was left on my lease. They didn't give me my deposit back because they said I left the apartment dirty (which was a lie). The people there ARE hostile!! I know first hand. Do NOT let your guard down. Check outside your door for a very small 'X' on your door frame. It could be on the side or on the overhead. If you see one, get out asap. My advise, if you decide to move out, is to TAKE PICTURES OF THE CLEAN APARTMENT. They will stand up in court if it comes down to that. Best of luck to you and your family.

Good idea with the pictures. I was wondering how I would handle that because I know they will try to say my apartment isn't clean, but it is. Not stains or holes anywhere. What does the small "x" mean?
