Terraces are not home.

I lived at the Terraces for 2 years, when we first moved i it was a pretty great area, though it declined rather quickly.
Not only was our upstairs neighbor dealing out of his home, he frequently urinated off his balcony, his dog frequently was left out on the balcony all day long peeing on our porch as well, and various other problems. None of these were ever handled by the property management despite various complaints.
While living there, we had a pretty terrible rain storm whihc resulted in water leaking from the walls and saturating the carpet in numerous places, and since they apparently do not change the carpet padding after each tenant, the carpet was ruined in many places due to stains from the filthy padding below it. Maintenance was called (four times in order to get them to come and look) and the fact that there was water damage caused by leaking walls was recorded. A later instance of rain left a puddle in the MIDDLE of the floor with no moisture near the walls, this is usually a tell tale sign of cracks in the sub-flooring. Once again, maintenance was called.
Finally we had had enough and moved this past June. Now it's the end of August and I get a phone call from a collection agency saying that I owe the Terraces $782 for them having to replace the carpet. The same carpet that was ruined because water leaked through their walls during a rainstorm, into the filthy padding that they didn't replace in god knows how long. Does this sound right to you' Not to mention we never received our safety deposit, yet the safety deposit wasn't deducted from this amount.
Don't move into the Terraces unless you want to live in and with filth.
