Too much trouble to live.....

Let me just start off by saying...not everyone will have an experience like me, but it is possible. I have only lived in the Tarraces @ Towne Lake apartments for for 6 months. I moved there bc I knew it was in a good area with good schools and my son was about to go to Kindergarten. I also knew someone who was moving in so I decided to move in too. The only difference was I got an apartment in the oldest building on property and he was in one of the newer ones. Our 2 apartments looked nothing alike. My apartment had several problems right from the start. First of the problems was a mold/musty smell when we first moved in, which we later found out it was water leaking into the walls and the floor for the air conditioner. We reported the problem and no one came out to fix it. So we reported again. They had someone come out and suck up all the water and then the said they would come back out to spray some mold killer and paint. A week went by and I had to go to the office and report that no one had been back out to finish the job. I also told them that I felt the base board and dry wall needed to be replaced, rather than just spraying a mold killer and painting over it. Not to mention my son has allergies to mold and has asthma! Some one came out the next day and removed the base board (no dry wall) and sprayed to mold killer and painted anyway. My apartment still smells musty!! The second problem we noticed one day it had been raining heavily. I went into my daughters room to play with her and saw that the window was pouring in water from the top of the window seal. I told the office the next day. No one came out yet again for days. When they finally came to look they said they would have to get another company to come take a look. Two months went by and no one came to look. So we once AGAIN!! went to the office they had the maintenance come out and look one more time, only this time they cut a hole above her window and then taped it closed. Another month went by and still nothing. So just this week we went in an told the office. Finally they had someone take a look and repaired some outside problems. I got a call 2 days ago saying that they will have to rip out my daughters wall and replace it and the window! They said we will have to relocate to a newer apartment. I was then told it is bigger and more expensive, but they said that they will let us keep the price we am paying now and they will not charge us a relocating fee...umm hello! Of course they are not going to charge us! It is not our fault that they waited 6 MONTHS to fix the problem!! I was also told by maintenance that this has been a long time problem with the leaking window and they thought they had fixed it.
I had a few smaller complaints as well. Here are a few...
-the staff is not so great
-the paint job and apartment where poorly done
-I had loud neighbors that would blast their music at all times of the day and week
-I have had bugs for 6 months including roaches and only had someone come out to spray 2 times...even though every one is charged for it
-The entry and exit gates have never worked the whole time we have lived here (even though they say it is a "gated community")
-You have to dodge kids and kids on there skate boards everyday! I have almost ran them over several times
-The playground (which we were told was "the best and biggest in the area" looks to be very old and UN-SAFE!! It needs to be replaced!!!
- Half of the so called "work out" equipment is out dated and doesn't work properly
-if schools let out it can take 10 mins just to turninto or out of the apartments (there is no turning arrow at the light)
I feel like something should be done. And have read others complaints. There should be someone we can report this to. Like I said not everyone will have this much trouble but I would not rule it out! When our lease is up we plan to move into a house. With the price we pay we should be paying that to a mortgage...the rent is too high for the quality!!! And don't expect them to jump when you have a problem, but do expect they will want you to when they have something they need from you.
I hope this review helps anyone who is already a tenat or who is about to move to these apartments.
