A True Home

Let me start by saying that in the past the most time I spent living at other complexes was about 1-2 years. I am currently on my 4th year living in the Terraces at Towne Lake. In all fairness, its easy to find an apartment in the Atlanta area; however, if you're truly looking for a place to call HOME then the Terraces at Towne Lake is where you should be.

As individuals there are different qualities which draw us to a particular community. For me it was the look, amenities, apartment choices, price and location. While those factors are still important, what has kept me here is the sense of community. In this age of automation customer service is very important to me. It is gratifying to me to be out walking or go into the office and be greeted in a timely manner and more times than not by name (and no not by my first name but with the respect from days gone by of Ms. P....). In case you're wondering I'm 45 years old; and I was raised to say yes sir-no sir, Mr. Jones for example. While that may not be important to someone else, it speaks highly of the staff here.

In the paper and on the news you hear about people being evicted from their homes and apartments. Well, let me tell you a little about my situation. I have been unemployed since December 2008. One of the many that I am sure have been hit by what's going on today. While I won't go so far as to say this will and can be done for everyone; I will tell you my story. I've been making ends meet and the staff of the Terraces has worked with me every step of the way. They have honestly gone out of their way to help me to the point that I was truly surprised. I don't know about you but for me it is hard to ask for help. Melanie Tyner, Collections Manager, has been a dream to work with. She worked out arrangments that gave me breathing room and allowed me to basically not feel like I was less than. Thank you Ms. Tyner.

I literally ran out of money this past month; while I do have funds that will be coming in I thought that the staff had done all they could do to help me continue to live here. I thought I had no choice but to vacate. I was offered options: such as would downsizing to a smaller (less rent) apartment help. But it was not just about moving to a smaller apartment to pay less rent. I was asked would my current needs (i.e number of people in unit, number of bedrooms, baths, etc) support that. While downsizing is not a viable option for me, the Manager, Eboni Jackson went out of her way to offer me the best solution so that I could continue to live here. I won't go into specifics, but I will say this if you're having problems CALL.

I was shown dignity and support that has exceeded my expectations. Ms. Jackson told me "things happen through no fault of our own and we are here to work with you." I can honestly say she went above and beyond what I thought possible. I don't want anyone reading this to think that this is just a review because of a sob story that worked out for me. If you knew me; trust me that's not who I am. Not by a long shot. It goes back to what I said before. CUSTOMER SERVICE is important to me.

When all is said and done I know Mid-America is running a business. You pay your rent and a company allows you to be a tenant. If you want to know that your money is being well-spent then you need to be a tenant with The Terraces at Towne Lake. The grounds, staff, amenities and people are worth your time and your money. Its in a great location. Easy access to dining, shopping and the expressway. Truly worth your time to make this your next home.

You are full of crap. Way to 'play' on the economic recession we are in. People are only so gullible (I guess.... look who is 'the President'). If you are really out of a job, then go and find one, be resourceful. Why is downsizing an issue for you? Sell your stuff and get some money. I am so sick of this.

My wife and I used to live at the Terraces, one month we had some issues with our car and the bill ate into our rent money, payday was two days after rent was due so we went to the office to ask if we could get an extension. We'd been there for a year and a half already, never missed a payment, always paid on time. They pretty much told us to suck it up, we had to pay the two days worth of late charges ( which are ridiculously high ) because they refused to work with us for TWO DAYS. Ms. P, I hate to say this but i believe you are a liar. Most likely you are another member of the office staff coming on leaving erroneous reviews in order to raise the ratings of this detestable and repulsive ghetto called The Terraces at Towne Lake. The office staff are pleasant when you first move in, then you are just another check in the box.

I currently live at the Terraces and I do believe what was said. We moved in over 6 months ago and have seen drastic changes in the community since we moved in. There is a new office staff and management. They really seem to care about the people that live here. Our A/C was out and I called the office at 4:45. I was worried that since it was so close to "closing" time that it would not get fixed until the next day. To my suprise there was someone at my apartment within 15 minutes and it was fixed that night. I appreciate everything they are doing to make my life a little easier.

Ok to the one person who had to pay 2days worth of lates fees is full of crap bc i was late w my rent b4 and in my lease i was told i would have a 10% late fee if rent was not in by the 4th and i turned my rent in on the 7 bc that is the way my pay check fell and thats when i would have it so you signed so get over it and suck it up
