Ok we lived there for 4 1/2 years. They were 4 1/2 long years of hell. The 1st month we lived there was a meth lab bust. Go to the Altoona Police Dept. and ask them about this complex. They are there alot. A few months ago the cops were there every single night for a week. At one point a neighbor held a gun to his wife's head. Another night there were 5 cop cars outside our building they were breaking up a fight in the parking lot. There was another time when the cops came and took rifles out of their trunks to arrest a guy. The only reason we stayed was because my spouse was unemployed and we had to stay where we could afford. My spouse got a full-time job and we got out of there! There were many nights that we were subjected to the neighbors yelling and stereos, to kids setting fires in the hall. Elementary age kids with tempers so bad they broke glass and doors. We were promised a pool and it never happened. They even raised some people's rent saying that we were getting a pool so they were raising rent. Maintance is ok, but they are not professional. Some former maintanence workers stole from tenants. There are some good neighbors at the complex. We did make good friends there, but it is nice to go out at night and not see cops outside arresting a neighbor. The new manager is nice, but in the 4 yrs. we were there we had about 7 managers. Ask most of the residents and they want to get out of there, but can't afford it.

To whomever posted the above: This is a good place to live. The cops are here infrequently. The problems that you've mentioned have been resolved, and the illegitimate teenagers causing the problems you listed, have been removed from the property. Before you post information, make sure you know the entire story. If you had so many problems, you should have contacted management. I happen to live here and find it peaceful and pleasant. I'm sorry for your unfortunate experiences.
