This building is advertised as quiet concrete construction for serious people. Not so. The concrete construction does not block out the noise, and there are lots of drunk partying college kids in this building. One neighbor has a drum set he plays routinely, for example. I can hear every single little thing that my neighbors do, so don't be mislead by the pamplet as I was. Parking is an issue. Though residents are given a special parking pass and everyone else is supposed to park in the gravel guest lot, no one follows these rules and they are not enforced. This means guests and residents owning multiple cars will routinely take all the spaces near the building and then the residents with parking passes end up in the gravel guest lot. Rules like this that are put forth in the lease agreement are simply not enforced. Lots of smokers at this building. The maintenence people smoke in the hallways and tenants smoke on their decks, so not a good building if you are asthmatic. Also forget leaving your windows open when the weather is nice unless you want your apartment filled with smoke. Because of a huge gap under the front door of each apartment, they are very drafty and noise from the hallway is a real problem.
I like the location of the building. It is on the outskirts of town, so you are at least spared the sounds of the city. A CyRide stop is close by. The cable and internet are pretty good. Maintenence requests are typically answered fairly fast. The pet policies are pretty good, but the tradeoff is that sometimes there are lot of barking dogs in the building. There are laundry facilities on site but you have to pay to use them and there have been problems of laundry being stolen.
