On the surface, the apartment units look really nice. However, after living there for a year, I know they were also built as cheaply as possible, often using substandard materials.

My biggest problem with them is that the management is horrible. The young people low in the totem pole are nice in the office, but the managers are rude and insulting. One thing is for certain: you will never see your deposit again. For people that do decide to live there, take lots of pictures of the apartment after you have your stuff you for when they screw you over with the deposit.

Yes, the apartment looks pretty nice, has large bedrooms and the appliances (washer/dryer, dishwasher) are great. But, I'm convinced there has to be better places in Ames to live.
