In Ames the big moving day is August 1st...they wouldn't give me keys until the 5th so I lived in my car waiting for the apartment. When I moved in, the place was DIRTY - garbage in the closets and piss on the floor of the bathrooms. I paid someone to clean the carpets and I had to do the stove and fridge. Now that it is time to leave, the "new" managers lost all the paperwork on my move in and are requiring my to pay to have the carpets cleaned again. It only took 10 months for a two square foot hole in my mechanical room wall to be fixed.
