The maintainance will show up but not fix anything. We have a 3 bedroom 2 bath and the front toilet doesn't flush. We informed them and they came out and told us the toilet was old but he said he couldn't replace it (WHAT!!) So we have been living with this for about a year now. The windows leak and mold forms on the ledges. They came out and told us they were going to have new windows put in and then they never came back. The kitchen light bulb burns out every 2 weeks and the end is completely black when I remove it, they said not to worry about it and to just keep replacing the bulbs. The chalking around the tub is cracked and they just add more chalking over the top of it and it keeps cracking. Our deck has nails sticking up though it. They allowed the dog area and the kids play area to be the same place. (Nice for the kids to play in). We are now moving out and planned on finding a place first and then giving our 30 day notice but when places would call for refs they wouldn't tell them anything. They told us that we had to give our 30 days first. Thats like quiting your job before you have a new one. They told us after the 30 days if we didn't have a place to live that it "wasn't their problem". The management is being rude and not giving information to places that call for refs making it difficult to find another place to live. I lived in the Sommerset on the southside for 6 years and never had to deal with crap like this. We have about 5 other apts that are moving asap because of the bull that they put you through. I called MaxWell Properties in MO (they own the buildings) and no one ever returns my calls.
