I have lived in these apartments for 3 years. (A 3 bed 2 bath and a 2 bed 1 bath.)

Yes you can hear the traffic, because most of the apartments are close to the interstate or close to delaware ave, but you don't notice it after you have been here a while.

Mantinence usually responds within 2 days, but they don't tell you what time of day they will be there, so if you are like me and have a day when you can sleep in till 10 or so in the morning then having them walk into your apartment while your still in bed at 8am is not a very plesant experience! (they do knock first-but if you don't answer they let themselves in)

The staff complains about dog poo and charges you fines for not picking it up, but my dog's poo is the same size as the duck/goose poo that they don't clean-and is all over the sidewalks and grass!

The apartments don't have lights in the celings except for the bathroom, kitchen, and one in what should be your dining area-but is just an off place from the living room.

The past 2 years they have been raising our rent by $25/month. And they charge you more for the apartments that have a view of the scummy pond, even though the apartments are smaller! But its a nice neighborhood, of course no matter where you go you will always have those snooty people who complain about anything and everything just to pass the time (ankeny is full of them) Haven't had any problems with theft and the only dogs that bark are ours (we apologize we try to keep them as quiet as possible-but they ARE dogs protecting our apt.) But overall it's Not a Bad place to live.
