I lived at College Square Apartments for my last 2 years as a student at UNI. Although my choice to live there was based upon the desire to become more removed from the "college partying lifestyle," I agree with previous reviewers that I had to deal with the noise of neighbors yelling and playing loud music at 2 AM after the bars close. In general, the place is becoming somewhat run down (old carpet, sloppy interior paint job, unkept ventilation, dirty ugly patios, etc), especially for the annual increases in rent. I'm still not quite sure what the purpose of the maintenance men are, as usually I just saw them standing around chatting and gawking at me and other girls in the complex. The one maintenance request I made in the entire time I lived there (my apartment suddenly had no hot water) went unresponded to and I was forced to take cold showers most mornings for the last couple months I lived there. The pool is great to have in the summer and well kept. The gym is also nice, but the exercise equipment is old and breaks down frequently. The computer lab is a joke. While I'll agree that for a college town the property probably isn't the worst you could do by a long shot, after moving away from Cedar Falls and into a complex that has really impressed me with their service and amenities, I've come to realize that a lot more should be expected for the money you pay to live at College Square.

They finally painted the interiors last winter... but they put black carpet in the hallways... idiots! so it shows all dirt that gets tracked in! They also put up new porches this summer and updated the workout room and the computer lab... too bad my key doesnt work to get it and they don't give a damn they just say "your key should work"
