So So apartment.

Just recently moved into one of the bigger one bedroom apartments, It's a decent size, the living room is big the kitchen is decent sized and dining area too. There is a walk in closet in the bedroom which was perfect sized for my boyfriend and my clothing, shoes, etc. The carpet seems to been like new. The bedroom is pretty good sized big enough for a queen sized bed, tv, and a dresser and still have enough room to move around without feeling crowed. There is a nice sized closet in the hallway for extra stuff. The bathroom however is small and dated, the vanity is little and old, the only way that you are able to use the vanity lights and the ONLY outlets in the bathroom is if you have the "exhaust" fan on, it doesn t exhaust anything it just blows in air, I don't think that it itself has ever been cleaned out every time you turn it on it blows in dust and dirt all over the bathroom sink it's also really loud and is pointless since it doesn t help in exhausting the steam from the showers. The shower head is rather low for me it's not a problem but my boyfriend being 6'1 has to duck to wash his hair while in the shower so for taller people it might be a problem. I've only had one report for maintenance and they came quick and fixed it. The office staff, if at all possible stay away from Connie she's rather bitchy most of the time but Abby is really nice and would rec. dealing with her if possible. The only thing that I'm really unhappy about is the bathroom being the way it is with the electrical wiring done in a crappy matter and the vanity being old. This apartment building does allow animals for a large un-refundable pet deposit and an additional cost on top of rent each month. I have noticed several times piles of dog poop in the yards that people don t pick up after their dog has done their business. I would recommend this apartment if you aren t too picky with the newness of things.
UPDATE: Since our apartment is the lowest level we have had problems with bugs during the spring and summer time, like big spiders, and other things. When it rains hard it comes in from the patio door area and the carpet gets soaked. The parking lot is a JOKE most of the time I try to take up two spots just so I have enough room to get out or else it's like a 10 pt turn just trying to back out of the damn spot. Usually on the weekends also there are a few extra cars in the lot which makes a spot harder to find. Just recently got new a washer and dryer in the building, They are 1.50 per load each the washer is big and you can fit a lot of stuff in it same with the dryer but when you run the dryer on the hottest setting stuff like jeans and towels don t get dry in the time that the 1.50 gives you for that load. There is only 1 washer and dryer for the building for it is a little hard to get it when it's not being used by other people in the apartment. Our lease is coming up due and we don't think we want to resign. We really hate moving all of our stuff but this place really does suck.
Pet owners beware, I don't have a pet but I considered it but the pet deposit is costly and it's NON REFUNDABLE which I think is --------, if there isn t any damage that has been done then I think the tenant should be rewarded and should be given their deposit back. Not only is the deposit non refundable you have to pay extra rent each month. I don't know if there is a size limit however so if you do have a big dog it might be a good thing for you since some places won t let you have a dog over like 25 pounds, I do see a lot of bigger sized dogs around. There is a lot of dog poop that is NOT cleaned up.
Try taking a shower between 6:30 and 7 am you might not have hot water for your shower, it's been an issue that almost every morning when I get ready for work half way through someone else starts taking a shower and I have no more warm water, no not even warm I turn it as hot as it will go and all I get is cold water. I've tried getting up earlier but it hasn t really helped and I should have to adjust my schedule because they can't have a water heater that can't accommodate the building.
