Basically stealing, bait and switch.

I moved in June of 2007. The lady going through the paper work gave me the option of signing a 6 or 12 month lease. I chose the 12 month since I knew I would be moving for work after a year. I proceeded to sign about 10 different papers of various agreements ranging from lead paint and pets, to maintenance and early lease termination. Along with those papers I signed what I thought was what we discussed which was a 12 month lease. When I go to move out, they said I had signed a 13 month lease, sticking me for the extra month of rent. When I called management they said "Sometimes we have our tenants sign a 13 month lease so all the leases aren't coming due at once". Well thats fine and dandy, but maybe you should let your tenants know that you are switching the terms from what was discussed and what was signed. No solution was offered, the lady was very rude on the phone saying that since I signed the lease she couldn't do anything about it. I don't have 500 dollars to donate to the College Square Charity Fund. Watch what you are signing! College Square Management are manipulative con artists sticking you for every penny they can.
Oh and every pet owner in town lives here so there is sht everywhere.
