I wouldn't consider Cedar Falls to be a college town by any length, but Hillcrest Apartments, for better or worse, definately is a college apartment building. Even though I have had some bad issues with the Manager, I agree with most of the other reviews. The grounds are well maintained, rarely ever have I heard of someone being fined, and they do foot the bill for a pretty wild party the weekend before college resumes in late August. But be warned, before signing a lease, pay close attention to the wording the manager uses when answering your questions, because they will soon be twisted every way, all over. Also, you should probably make nice with your new neighbors right away, because you'll be hearing them loud and clear through the walls and ceiling/floor all year long. Other than that the building itself is pretty nice. The actual apartment is fairly simple (frigde over here, toilet over there, you know the drill) but for only $300/month, the place isn't bad. And parking is never a problem, at least not before 9pm (just so you know). If you get in with the right people, there's usually a good party every weekend. And on move-in day, try to be the first one to set-up-shop, cuz u can claim the better bathroom depending on what you want more between more space, or more storage (one bathroom has a closet, and the other is bigger since it doesn't). Anyway, I'm trailing off subject.
Short and sweet... Parking-Good Partys-Good Noise-Bad. And there you have it.
