I have lived here at university manor for a little over 5 years, and soon I will be signing another lease for the 6th year. I do not agree with renter beware review. Sure the rent has gone up a little, I will be paying $749.00 for a two bedroom. the only new amenity will be a new dishwasher for my apartment, but I am not complaining. the increase in rent I am sure is because of the new fitness area, and maybey because of all the new painting and pictures, in the hallwaysl. to me though, that is worth a lot. this place looked terrible before the new owners/managers took over. It's true that the cable was an additional $50.00,but for cable and internet together is cheap compared to that of the cable company.I believe this place has came a long way over the past year. As far as the lease, I am sitting here looking at the one I am going to sign and I can read everything,and on my new renewal lease it includes the cable and internet, so there will be no additional charge. I think that management is fair, and fast at maintenance, and very good at keeping the building clean and safe.the new dishwashers will be a nice improvement, and the laundry rooms being moved from the basement to the second floor will be even better.I have never cared for the large not well lit basement, and will be better having all the machines in one room. In my opinion, University manor apartments is getting better, and I have referred two other people to live here, and they have given me $100.00 off my rent for each one. The only thing I agree with renter beware's review, is renters should beware that they are looking at a great place to live.
