Before moving in I had made the trip to Cedar Rapids to put down a deposit (I lived 2 hrs away). The manager didn't write down my appointment time so I had to wait around for 2 hrs for her to show up because she wasn't in the office. On my move in day, she informed me that I was moving into a 2bd 2bth instead of 2bd 1bth like we had talked about. She also informed me that my apt was located on the 3rd floor - I had verified with her numerous times that the apt was a 2nd floor unit. After signing the lease, she realized that the building I was moving into was all 2bd 1bth units, so we had to redo the lease. She had also informed me that the appliances in the kitchen were all being replaced. After 2 wks of being in the apt, the fridge was replaced, however I am still waiting on the stove - and the dishwasher is not planning on being replaced. There is a lot of damage to the cabinets in both the kitchen and the bathroom. My deck was filled with leaves. The smaller bedroom window has a huge crack in it. Maintenance came to repair the window, but didn't get the correct replacement size, so I'm still waiting on the window to be fixed. When I first moved in the security system to my unit didn't work - so that had to be fixed, along with the outlet in the bathroom. To top it off the management office is supposed to be open until 5pm, however, she leaves early because she has to pick her child up from daycare, so the office is not open when it says it will be. I would recommend looking elsewhere to live.
