I lived in Knollridge Gardens from 2006-09 while working on my PhD. The ceilings and windows leaked in my unit every time in rained. The building is poorly maintained. The walls are poorly insulated and you can hear everything your neighbors say through the duct work. My apartment perpetually smelled like onions and other food from the neighbors' cooking below me. I had several mice in my kitchen The drains in my shower and sink blocked up every few months. The steps to the laundry room--which is in a dingy basement--are a safety hazard.

However, he worst part came after I moved out. The apartment manager walked through with me and said it looked fine. Once I moved out of state, she deducted $120 off of my security deposit, citing general cleaning fees for things like window washing and dusting. She is a sneak and not to be trusted. This is a shady apartment management company.

I only stayed here so long because I had a pet, and as a graduate student needed affordable rent. I have lived in several other apartment complexes, including Seville, and had a much better experience and not one cent of my security deposit withheld. Even though the rent is good, it is not worth it. Do not move here.

I agree. They told me that they 'd take out a little bit for my blinds, then as soon as I was out of state, at Basic Training for the Army no less, they yanked the ENTIRE deposit AND tacked on an additional $600 for the same type of "vague" cleaning fees.
