The condos are very nice (wood floors, vaulted ceilings, modern kitchen, nice view over pond) and spacious. But the landlords are picky and greedy. Most people do not get their deposit returned intact. And I know of two tenants while I was there that got sued by the landlord. So assume that you will lose your deposit and be very careful. Moving out and the month afterwards was some of the most stressful times in my life.

My name is Becky Houser and I am the owner of this rental community (Woodrige Estates). These reviews are very frustrating to me and to my entire staff, as they are often one-sided and do not represent what most residents actually think about the community. We invite readers to call or visit the community to evaluate it for yourselves. We would be happy to provide references. Most of our residents are long term residents and many are "repeat customers". I feel the need to provide you with further information about this and other postings. First of all, this community is very new. We have completed 2 of the 3 phases of this development. Most of the buildings here are 5 years old or less. There are undeveloped areas in which we plan to build on in the near future and these areas are not yet landscapped. You can easily see these areas as you drive through the community. We do allow pets with our written pet policy. Dogs are only allowed in certain buildings. Pets less than 1 year of age are not allowed at all. We do require an extra pet deposit equal to "one months" rent. The pet deposit is 100% refundable as long as your pet does not cause damage. Our maintenace response times are extremely fast. Our units are new and very nice and we want to keep them that way, so we will not let maintenance linger, keep in mind that some maintenance items are "weather permitting"! We are considered luxury condominiums and we pride ourselves on giving new residents very clean, very new and well maintained apartments. The response above by Becky Houser is completely ridiculous. The truth is that most residents do not feel that they are respected or treated fairly by the Housers. It is stupid to ask her for references because she will be selective and provide you only with references that are good. The best thing to do is to ask people at random about what they think. You'll get a much more accurate picture that way. The turnover in these rentals are high, and they struggle to fill all the vacancies. The lease is a 17-page novel with every rule under the sun written in. Wait times for repairs are about a week. Garbage is found all around the dumpsters and it is not uncommon to come in close contact with raccoons when you go to throw something out! They hand you a dirty apartment because they don't want to clean it, and then expect you to have it spotless and shiny. All questions you ask are met with either a "I don't know", "we're busy", or "let me check with my husband". In these cases, the answer is a no so don't hold your breath. They always have an excuse for everything. But believe me, if you pay your rent even one day late, they will not hesitate in penalizing you no matter what excuse you have. They treat you like little kids. Oh yeah, and Becky, it is "landscaped", not "landscapped"! It is tempting to live here, but don't give in. You'll regret it. And besides, the price is way too high, and you won't get your full deposit back. I know of very few who have.
