I have lived here for a little over 9 months. I CAN NOT believe those other reviews...I dont wake up to cops, firetrucks, or ambulances everyday. Nor have I heard gun fights in the parking lot or playground. As far as Roach motel. Well. I think the only bug I have seen in my apartment would be a fly that came in when bringing in the groceries. The staff has completed several inspections along with spraying to prevent bugs. I also know that I dont have to worry about gang bangers. There are a lot of kids that hang out, but they havent shot up anything or done much to be called gang bangers. They could be doing a lot worse then hanging out. Every neighborhood no matter where you live has people who use or sale drugs. It dosent matter what area of town you are in there is always someone somewhere doing it. So to say that it only happens here is outragous. I do find it humorous that one person who wrote a review said to move into the apartments next to Featherstone because they are nicer. Everyone knows that is where you go to get your Meth as well as several conviceted sex offenders have address there. You dont see any living at Featherstone. You know...when a person has to leave an anonymous reviews that are false you know more then likely they were tennants who were kicked out for probably doing what they claimed is so bad down here. I remember when I was growing up when this place was place 35, that is when it was bad. But since sister of mercy stepped in and bought it and sold it to Seldin they have cleaned this place up and made it a better community for those of us who live here and who want to make our lives better. Of course there are a lot of kids, but what do you expect when you move into HUD housing. The experience here is what you make it!
