When will these small business owners figure out that customer service and commitment to the loyal customer is all it takes to survive. When will Robert Hancock & Company realize they have made a very big mistake in "going a new direction". When you have something good, why change it' Their new motto is something like "Comfort" "Comittment" & "Community" How on Earth can they quote this when it should read we "CLEARLY" "CARE" "LESS" This so called Property Management company has let a 23 year old inexperienced want to be lawyer start the demise of their company. She and her inexperienced Puppet Master, President with NO housing experience together have shown their "Quality of Care". Why on Earth would you kick out an Iraq Vet, whose wife had paid on time and had medical bills' Half of the Robert Hancock Tenants have worse credit, verify it at tenantdata.com. They always have stated they look at the entire picture. I guess some peoples SIGHT is not as well as others. This company who runs Highclere not only attempts to evict this vet, they now are retaliating on a 70'ish couple who lived at Highclere for 5 years. This couple trying to help their beloved Manager of 6 and 1/2 years is being thrown to the street. They (RHC) now realize they are in a huge mess and are begging them to stay. On January 30, 2008 after FIRING their long time Manager the 16th of January, they told this couple they were NON-RENEWED. The letter stated they could stay for one month at a time until the company decided they could feel they liked the new manager. They told the 70 year old woman that since she had her friends sign a very poignant touching letter, trying to get the former manager Kathy reistated this was considered soliciting. When the 70 year old Lady told the new 20ish year old manager what, she stated that really she had NOT NEEDED A REASON TO NON-RENEW, which is some cases could be true, but this is straight out retaliation. This couple has since sent out their 30 day notice in accordance to the rules and the ROBERT HANCOCK & COMPANY has chosen to beg them to stay. Now they are okay to stay. The couple chose to move anyway for fear of the new manager and her "She doesn't need a reason policy". So the couple is leaving and the new manager calls again, because the couple had sent the letter to the ROBERT HANCOCK & COMPANY instead of her. She DEMANDED to this couple that they never send anything to the ROBERT HANCOCK & COMPANY again. She was the manager and all was to be sent to her. Sad, Freedom of speech, self expression is not welcomed in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the Robert Hancock and Company or at the Highclere Apartments. For the Manager that they fired, they went as far to fight her unemployment stating she quit. After pulling all punches this company has let their new President successfully go in the new direction, the direction of destruction. I would never recommend renting from any of their properties, their policies change as they choose, they have rewritten their lease 3 times in the last year and they have a paragraph in their lease letting YOU their tenant know if they so choose due to increase taxes or utilities they can raise your rent without further notices. This once beautiful community that out shined all of the rest in Council Bluffs is now cold and heartless. There is no comfort, there is cracked concrete, flooded first floor apartments and a maintenance man with a brain the size of a "Pea". Choose something else if you really want to be comfortable, these apartments are very much overpriced and your beautiful view of the train yard and all of the comotion, it is not worth it.

When will company's such as ROBERT HANCOCK & COMPANY get it' To think they are trying to build yet another complex, why' The reputation of the company has been dragged over the news, cnn, ketv, the Omaha World Herald and KFAB.

I state and testify that all of the above is the truth. I am a family member of the fired manager. I am also a very upset Council Bluffs Citizen, wondering how someone could retaliate against a lovely 70ish couple trying to help someone when they are down.
