We lived in one of their apartments. They were terrible. At first it wasn't so bad. Then summer came around. All you could hear at night were people fighting and yelling all night. I had my car scratched more than once from children and adults sitting and playing near my car. The dumpsters were always open so the neighborhood smelled of rotten garbage. If they tell you it's better than it was, it isn't. We spent about 6 miserable months living there. Upstairs was about 12 people making all kinds of noise up til about 2 or 3 am. Our neighbor had their apartment broken into a few times. All of the windows in our apartment fell out when you opened them. As did the screens. The closet doors were all falling off. And talk about an infestation of cockroaches. We even had some of the little bastards come with us when we moved to a nicer place. Then when we decided to stop paying rent because the maintenance guys weren't doing anything about our complaints they shut off our heat. Good thing I'm a DIYer and knew how to turn it back on. On ocasion children would shut the A/C off from outside and open up our hot water heater valve. The only measure they've taken to remedy that was put locks on the front & back doors to keep others out. But too little too late. The place was a mess. Our neighbors across and down from us had a gap in their window that let air in from outside with no way to fix it. They just told them not to worry about it. Also in the common area, since we were all pretty neighborly, I left an oil drain pan and funnel, that a neighbor used once. The maintenance guy stole it. For quite a while we were getting our mail stolen. Also to note, not a single official eviction notice was given from the Sheriff to anyone who moved out. Yet the maintenance guys thought that it was their right to throw their furniture and stuff off the balcony and watch it shatter in the parking lot, where all the cars are parked. Also if you still want one of these apartments, make sure you get one with back steps that don't wobble. We lived in 321 and that stairway was about to collapse. It's also a terrible neighborhood. We were afraid to go out at night.

Complete lie, about the neighborhood the neighborhood the past 2 years have made great improvements. 5 years ago it use to be a horrible place to live due to a few bad landlords renting to a few bad folks that showed them the money up front. No bad ground checks were done on these people. In turn when they rented to these people they did not realize that the people they rented to brought a lot of problems with them, like not paying rents for months, letting anybody come into their residence to live with them. Managemen t did not even know who was living in the apartments. These same people were also the ones victims of apartment break ins, due to owing people money and best of all having people sell drugs out the apartment, which in all going to bring problems. These few bad apples spoiled the rest of the good apples in the basket. Ive been living up hear for 2 years. Thoses days are gone. We work with the police, matter of fact a police officer lives in the apartments, plus we have 3 officers that are assigned up here for good. So things are coming along. We just have to keep striving to make this place a wonderful place to live.

Well, I have lived out here for 4 years, and we all should know by now this isn't the greatest area to live. However, my 2 bedroom apartment is bigger than a lot of others I have looked at in Davenport- bedrooms are big and the kitchen is great. My son is a pre-schooler, and because of him, I am looking to get out of the neighborhood. I don't like the elementary school, or the neighborhood enough to let my kid stay in it. The shooting a week or two ago outside my apartment kind of sealed the deal to move out of here. I have had way too much faith in this place to live here for this long- and it hasn't really paid off. I can already tell the neigborhood has gone downhill recently- and I am NOT looking forward to another noisy summer here filled with fights, fires and drugs, not to mention rude neighbors, and poor apartment management. The apartment staff has only gone downhill over the four years I have lived here, and I has VERY upset over the winter when they NEVER bothered to shovel our sidewalks or steps EVER! No wonder the neighborhood never changes for the good- all the good tenants decide to leave because the property management is so crappy!!
