I've rented an apartment here for almost a year and have really enjoyed it. The location is very convenient, I work downtown and walk every day. It's close to all of downtown's best restaurants and nightlife, not to mention the events centers and the Farmer's Market.

The building's are historic with high ceilings and a classic loft feel. The apartments are not huge, but for the price and location are comparable to anything else you'd find downtown. Everything is well maintained and new feeling, even though the buildings themselves are 90 to 100 years old. This is, hands down, the best (and cleanest)of the 4 complexes I've lived in. One warning, be prepared for some noise, all the surfaces are hard so not a lot gets absorbed.

Management is very professional and friendly and willing to help with pretty much anything. I've had some strange requests during my stay here, and I've always had a quick response and been treated respectfully.

Parking is all surface lots, but free, which is a great deal for an urban area. Just a note: this is urban living at it's finest, so if you want suburban comfort (like huge parking lots and somewhat more discrete crack dealers) move to West Des Moines.

Five false reviews posted in 24 hours by the building's management/owner. That's incredible. Everyone should know (as if it isn't obvious) that all five of these "new reviews" are bogus and were not posted by residents, past or present. Notice they are all written with the exact same grammar and syntax? Very convenient. Just remember, the same game can be played in reverse...Sunny.
