Pros: Close to downtown, grocery stores, banks near by
Cons: Privately owned by a family and run by a penny-wise and rude manager/owner.
In my experience i rate it somewhere between below normal to bad mainly because of the way the management treats you. They try to blame you for everything that goes wrong. It's funny that when i approched them to report bed bugs, the initial response was they never had it and probably it was due to me. I showed them the marks on the flip side of bed which were already there. Even though they sprayed it kept back coming again and again, after further research i found out it's because of the cheap ass couch and bed and furniture that they provided.
Definitely didn't enjoy dealing with the manager.

Yeah you got it right I was blamed for bad smell on curtains & dirty carpet. When i complained of bed bugs and smell from the bed mattress and couch.Above all a hefty amount was deducted from my deposit when i left while they always have dirty old carpet which they never change. And yeah both father and son are penny wise skin flint rude managers...Never go there to stay or else you will repent..

Hate to break it to you but "Bed bugs" can only live 48 hours without a human host. The only way you can get bed bugs is if you bring them in on your person or someone you bring into your bed brings them to you.
Nothing that the management can do will take care of bed bugs. The only way to get rid of them is to shower with soap and wash your bedding material.
Blaming the management for your bedbugs is akin to blaming McDonald's for making you fat.

Sorry but you are mistaken DMUDO2008. Here is an article form UC Davis http://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn7454.html which states that adult bed bugs have been known to live 550 days without a meal. So, since most apartments will not be unoccupied for that many days, it is very possible the bugs were passed from one individual to the next.
http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/bedbugs/#find this is an article from Harvard on how to deal with these pests: you will notice that they mention hiring a licensed exterminator over and over again. Yes, blaming McDonald's indeed! They don't seem to mention anything about soap and water though...
I don't meant to jump on you, DMU but you, as a future physician, should know better to do research before accusing others of being incorrect. The Harvard article also suggests that management be readily involved in order to control the infestation and not aloof as they seemed to have been.
