Too many problems

I moved out of Four Seasons Apartments roughly one year ago and I have not regretted my decision once. As a medical student, I chose Four Seasons secondary to its proximity to my school. However, I soon learned that CLOSE can sometimes be so FAR away.
Dwyane and Steve are two of the rudest individuals I have ever had the displeasure of knowing. Whenever I would approach them with a question or problem they would always react negatively. Somehow, I felt everything was my fault. Aside from the attitude, things just never seemed to get done quickly or properly.
My best example of this was my heater which broke in the dead of winter. I waited until the clubhouse opened (even skipped class) to inform Dwyane about the problem. He told me that 1) the heaters never break, it must be something I did and 2) that they were super busy this morning so he would get to me when he got to me. My wife and I suffered through 5 hours of 0 degree weather until they finally came to fix our heater. I don't think that is appropriate behavior for a manager, do you'
They had these improper spring cleaning checks they would perform on your apartments on a yearly basis. They would put up signs about 2 weeks before the event that would tell all the tenets that they have a legal right to enter your apartment whenever they want over the next two to three months. Over the course of my year there, I was walked in on nearly 10 times. The worst part about it was that they wouldn't so much as knock on the door, just enter. In addition, during this same time, I was forced to stay locked in my apartment for an entire day because Steve felt it necessary to repaint my door. Without asking if I had anywhere to go, he poked his head into my apartment (again without knocking) and yelled out "don't open this door, we will be back within an hour." An hour was apparently 8 hours in Steve-language because that was how long it actually took him to come back. What if I had a meeting or kids that had to go to school, what then'
When I finally moved out I encountered the problem that I have been reading a lot about on here: random charges and near refusal to give back security deposits. The random charges I speak of are the $75 carpet "cleaning" fee; which Dwyane and Steve actually do themselves with their own carpet cleaner thus keeping your $75. As for the security deposits, it almost seemed like I had to fight with them. First they told me that I hadn't given them a months notice (which I did in writing and, thankfully, had sent a copy to my a lawyer for safe keeping). After they were proven wrong here they then told me I had to pay a "finders fee" to find someone else to rent the apartment. I don't know what for since my lease had ended. It took a full two months after I moved out of fighting and phone calls to finally get my deposit back. These two rude individuals are also, apparently, very cheap.
Be warned, if you move into this complex you will be facing these and other problems. There is a reason that, when I moved into the complex, there were 9 other first year medical students living there as well and at the end of my lease there were 0. If you choose to take your chances then good luck and have a "fun" year.
