This place started well but went downhill dramatically and quickly. Rented a 2 br apartment in May, 2007. I vacated the apartment on November 30, 2008 as a result of the following issues.
The washer/dryer on my floor has not worked consistently in a satisfactory manner for my entire duration. The regional manager's response to my complaint was "there is always money in it when I go to collect." In addition, people have defecated in the washing machine twice on two separate occasions.
In the summer of 2007, I noticed there was a leak in the living room window where the sliding window was not fitted properly (possibly the window being slightly off track). When I requested maintenance fix it, I was told there was "nothing they could do" to fix it. This continues to let the heat/cold and rain/snow into the apartment, year-round.
Early in the winter of 2007, my radiator stopped working. Maintenance came to fix it 2 days later and claimed they could not get the part until the following day. The response of the maintenance worker to me was "bundle up for the night". I was never offered a space heater or any other alternative.
On 10/27/08, the maintenance crew was performing routine checks on the radiators in each unit. I left when they were working on mine and told by the head of maintenance there was a nut that had blown off and spilled scalding water all over my bathroom. I went to go assure the man that was working on it was okay and to assess any damage, only to find they had used some clothes and towels in the bathroom to soak up the water from the radiator that was filled with rust, resulting in the ruining of one shirt and 3-4 towels. I was told by maintenance that I would be compensated for this. I was never contacted by anyone regarding this matter again. When I mentioned this to the manager on 12/16/08, she stated that the maintenance worker "said he started the washing machine" for me. I stated this was not true and that I was never informed, and her reply was "well he said he did."
I submitted a Notice to Vacate form in early September, 2008. I was told by a staff worker that I had two options: One being they would show my apartment for me and help to get my unit rented so I would be released of my lease. Option two was I could try to find a new tenant to refer to the complex and have this potential new tenant request my specific apartment, upon their approval I would be released from my lease. The manager claimed this was not the case (on 12/16/08). Per the manager, they "didn't show record of" the September form, and I was required to fill out a second Notice to Vacate form on 11/1/08, stating I would be out of the apartment on 11/30/08. Per my telephone conversation with the manager on 12/16/08, she "didn't see record of that one either", but insisted I needed to return my keys anyway to avoid eviction.
The key cylinder on the building door was removed, leaving a hole in the door, and the locking mechanism remaining engaged, so no one could get into the apartment. I called security and someone came to release the locking mechanism. The asst. manager said (in response to my phone call the following day, 11/26/08) the lock would be fixed by that weekend. As of 12/16/08, it was still not fixed. Solicitors frequently interrupted from that time until my departure on 11/30/08.
The assistant manager refused to return my phone calls regarding these issues (as well as telling the manager that he had returned my calls) that resulted in my vacating of said apartment.
Following all of these complaints, the manager claimed there was nothing that could be done and they would most likely not be able to rent my vacated apartment until my lease was up on May 31, 2009 - which would require me to pay every month in full with no options other than the entire complex filling up with tenants.
I signed my final paperwork on 12/31/08. They charged me an additional month's rent even though I had clearly stated in writing that I had vacated the apartment on November 30th. After telling me that they would "help get the apartment rented", I noticed on the wipe-board in the assistant manager's office that they had written next to my unit number "Do Not Rent".
This complex has poor management, unreliable and untruthful maintenance, and a skewed system of "service". I do not recommend this complex to anyone. I have already filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, Department of HUD, and Home Inc., so let that be an indication of how I've been treated by this complex.

These accusations are pretty serious, and the fact that no one responded is even more worrying.

As being a prior renter, stay clear of this dump! Cockroach infested, drug haven place.
