I personally wouldn't recommend living here. The apartments are rather run down (though I will admit they were very spacious - 1130 square feet for the two bed room I lived in). It took ten or fifteen minutes in the winter to get hot water in the shower, and toward the end of our lease water leaks started showing in the ceiling and walls of our apartment in the living room - and we were NOT on the top floor either.
There is absolutely NO ceiling lighting of any kind in the bedrooms or the living room, and the heating system doesn't seem to work appropriately. They charge you a "hallway fee" to upkeep the hallway and heat the building (which is always freezing, leeching heat from the apartments around it). The highest manager in the building was nice and friendly, but the woman below her was a wretched witch who I had frequent problems with.
The woman called me TEN TIMES during daytime hours on a week day (I was at work) to scream, literally, at me about my cats being "loose" in the building and that I needed to return home IMMEDIATELY to restrain them. I told the woman that I was very sorry, but that I was at work and I would not be able to leave - but that my room mate was at home and that she could take care of the problem, I offered the woman her phone number and she snapped that she had already called my room mate to no avail.
I was forced to leave work early, and I arrived home to find that both of my cats were in my apartment and that my door was not only closed, but locked. I located my room mate, who was at home, to see what happened and she informed me that she had never received a call from the office or management and that the cats had been in the apartment with her the entire day.
I called down to the office, furious, and the woman informed me that my neighbors had complained that my cats were on their balcony (our was connected to theirs) and that they were climbing their screens. The complaint was lodged TWO DAYS prior to the day she called me, screaming at me to come home and restrain my animals, claiming that they were on the loose. That ridiculous story is one of many crazy encounters I had with that insane woman.
Outside of that they also did "construction" on our balcony for days on end and forced us to move our patio furniture into our apartment, it was supposed to take less than a week to put "carpet" on the balcony, but instead it ended up taking MONTHS and in the end THEY NEVER EVEN CHANGED ANYTHING. Every morning the workers started construction at six in the morning, climbing the side of the building and pounding on our windows and glass door waking us up and making a ridiculous amount of noise.
