I moved in this community in August of 2008. When I moved in the front door was secured. In the past 5 months, the door has been unsecured! Anyone can just walk in as they please!!! There is only one person in management that I can work with. The other two just never call you back. Always email!! This way you have a paper trail and a read receipt! I'm not sure how my lease will end. I have called Home Inc. twice now to report them! They are over charging other tenants for late fee's which is against the Iowa law! I worked for a housing agency so I am very familiar with rules and regulations in housing. If I were to do things over, I would have never moved in to this complex! There is so much marijuana use in my building!! No one really cares to do anything about it! I have reported it and reported it, but no one ever does anything! I am just praying to make it until August of 2009. Pray for me! The price of rent is ridiculous! I should have moved to West Des Moines or Ames! There is constantly garbage in the parking lot and throughout the building. Someone put their hands in the wet paint in the hallway and put green hand prints everywhere! Management does not care at all!!! The home office is in Minnesota and I'm not sure that they come visit very often!
