Aparments Downtown is awful. The safety and noise are a huge issue. I've now had tires stabbed mulitple times, and a shattered windshield. My roomate has had her side mirrors knocked off several times. Overall, my roomate and I have had about $2000 in damages. When either my roomate or I called to let them know they were not concerned what-so-ever. The only sufficient lightening we have in the back is from the apartment building next to us, which is not owned by Apartments Downtown. The building does not have locks on the main doors so anyone can get in. Which is probably linked to all the stuff found in the washer and dryer. There are no cameras. Any safety features are nonexistant.
The noise is another huge issue. Bascially every week Thursday through Sunday you are guaranteed to by kept up by the parties in surrounding apartments. That does not include the random parties during the Monday through Wednesday. I understand that I live in a college town, but that does not mean that Apartments Downtown cannot take a little control over what happens in their apartments.
Winter Maintenance is also a nightmare. According to the city sidewalks are supposed to be cleared 24hrs after a snowfall. I did not see the pavement in front of our building all winter. I know this was an extremely tough winter but I know it was possible to clear the sidewalks because as soon as Apartments Downtown property ended you could see the sidewalk. The apartments right next to us always had their sidewalks cleared (Again, owned by another company).
