This is a horrible place to live. The lease specifically states, "no smoking... no drug use" and the manager refused to do anything about my two roommates who did both - I'm a pharmacy student, and I could be expelled if they were caught with drugs in my apartment, and I was also pregnant at the time. They also allowed one of my roommates to sublease her bedroom without my knowledge. One day a new person just up and moved in, and I had no idea.

So, the problem with the landlord was that he didn't step in and solve your ROOMMATE problems? Sorry to be a little cruel [and believe me, I understand about bad roommates!] but generally once you leave the dorms any problems with your roomies are, well, your own problem.
