NEVER again!

I've lived here and would rather live in a shelter than ever move back. Its dirty, old and ready to fall apart. When you call maintance to get anything fixed it takes forever and they act like its an inconvenience to them. I had a leak from the upstairs apartment (looked like chew spit running down my wall from upstairs), called the office and their way of fixing it was NOT looking upstairs at the other apartment and offering to paint of the leakage on my wall. YOU DON'T PAINT OVER DIRT! The roaches are just infested everywhere! I had to pack a box at a time and take it to my new apartment to ensure I wasn't taking them with me. When I did pack I found 1000's of them alive and dead. When they pulled out my fridge they were just packed in between the cinder blocks, ALIVE. I spent more money and time calling the office about the roaches that I paid for at least a months worth of rent in Raid. There is mold EVERYWHERE. Again thats painted over when you tell them about it. No matter how much you clean it always feels dirty. The laundry room is nothing to be proud of. Its never cleaned. Has roaches crawling all over the washers. The washers and driers haven't been updated in over a decade. The change machine never works and they never fix it either. The "weight room" is in the basement of the office , I think. The play ground wasn't updated, just painted. The volleyball court is a joke and looks like a gigantic ash tray. And I have never seen anyone use the tennis courts in the 12 years I've lived in Iowa City, 6 of those living at Lakeside. You can paint it any color you want and slap a new name on it but it will always be Lakeside Apartments to me. Roaches, mold, crime and all.
