We moved in honestly because of the amenities and secondly because we would be the first tenants of our unit. The staff attempts to create an atmosphere which is akin to "dorm life". Honestly though, only the losers go to these events. The walls are quite thin. You often hear party goers walking about the hallways. Cars have been frequently vandalized EVERY YEAR in there unsecured underground parking. The apartments are actually furnished with decent furniture. The walk to campus is a bear in the winter, and is near impossible to do without cutting through private property. The office staff was always pretty young somethings who were usually really cute but don't trust them. They staff changed somewhat frequently. However the maintenance guy was very friendly and was very prompt when we needed service. Also don't live in a building which is too far away from the main building with all the amenities. Do you imagine yourself in an Iowa Winter walking 2 blocks outside to go to a hot tub' Overall cheap construction, decent staff, nice furniture, FAR from campus (but I never rode the bus), and frequent vandalism in the hallways and underground parking areas. The other nice benefit was the ability to rent each individual bedroom within the apartment. This meant no money sharing with roommates. Most of the fun people live in Building One. All of the thoughts I have. Okay lastly, you cant walk to anything convenient other than a bus stop 3 blocks away. The security was composed of a rent a cop who came by once a day on the weekend nights at a rather predictable time. For the safety of others I won't mention the time. Cheers.
