The apartments are still probably some of the nicest in the Des Moines area, but they are starting to show their age and the newest management company would rather collect rent and turn a profit than necessarily put that money back into the property. They do not maintain it to the same level and quality that previous owners did, but it has not completely gone to the dogs. New tenets will most likely be satisfied, older tenets couldn't wait to leave. Noise is not a constant problem, mainly just when people run up and down the stairs or slam doors. Beware spring and summer when the college kids come home late from the bars, they can be kind of noisy some times.
