I am a current resident and I would love to share my problems

1. when I moved in there were ciggarete ashes all over my carpet and the carpet is literally 5 different colors. This place was susposeto be like the show model, it never came close to resemblence.

2. WEATHERSTRIPPING......IT TOOK MAITENENCE 2 WEEKS TO FIX IT! I had to yell at the lazy 19 year old in the front office to get somebody to fix it.

3. MY STOVE. it hasnt worked in the 8 months i have been living here. the staff knows abnout it but assures me taht it is not clean. I cleaned it multiple times and they toldme to just turn the breaker off.

4. remember in november when it was 20 degrees' I HAD NO HEAT, THEY REFUSED TO TURN IT ON, THEY SAID "I WILL LET MAITENCE KNOW, WE HAVE TO GET PERMISSION FROM COPRERATE TO TURN THE HEAT ON", so i called the city and 10 minutes later we had heat.

5. maitenence knocked on my door one time and entered and walked up stairs when my fiance was sleeping and and said oh! did u complain about you hot water not working, she said no and he didnt apologize and walked out.

if there was a problem with the hot water, why the hell would he come to my place because the water heater isnt in my unit'

6. after repairs were done they came back 2 weeks later and asked if we had a problem with our stove and I said yes and its still not fixed. they havnt came back. i still cant cook.

7. our apartment was attempted to to broken into, i caught a guy in the act and the lock was broke. Maitenece replaced it 7 days after the police report. Iasked the guy if he wanted my other id drop it off tomarrow and he told me, "no thats fine im just gonna put it on one on the other side of town" i was told "they are too busy around the first tof the month and they will try to get to it"

8.if it snows be prepared to shovel your own sidewalk.

9. cops are here on a weekly basis for the domestic dsturbances, violence, drug use and loud parties. this is verified by 2 letters everybody got posted on thier door. typed by management....

it stated "In recent weeks the Marion Police Department has informed of some issues we are having here at Grand View. The loud parties, the drug usuage, and the people hanging out in the common areas being loud late at night, THIS NEEDS TO STOP IMMEDIATLY!!!!!..........

we got another letter a month later, stating the same thing, verifying this is still an unsafe and scummy place to live.

10. our neighbor got evicted, one day we heard him throwing his girlfriend against the wall, cops came and left, and she was crying all day, walls are paper thin. yes i did call the front office and they didnt do anything about it, not even a simple knock on the door. The man who threw his girlfriend againsteh wall is I believe trhe man who tried to break into my apartment.

there are other reasons why I wouldnt suggest this place or any place of the Mirage properties, as per they havnt returned my phone calls, right now it is the new managment, her friend lives with a couple below me, they have a car parked in front of door, for the last 2 weeks, it has a flat tire, i want it towed, towing company told me to call landlord, its her friends, shes doing nothing about it, shes violating her friends lease, more the than people listed on the lease live there, the landlord know, isnt that grounds for eviction.... oh yes it is... becase that was stated in my notice we all got 2 month prior to that car parked there.

I am very upset with Grand Vierw apartments, I would NOT reccomend them, I shouldnt have to worry about my belongings in my apartment and the maitenece guy coming in unannounced and with no reason. I hate this place and wished I never moved here.

my lease now finally expired and I moved out. They are trying to rip me off 46 bucks above my deposit for "cleaning" and "replacements". although when I ask nobody in office can tell me how they spent 145 dollars cleanind and fixing my place. I moved out spotless and I got 46 bucks goin into collections. anybody with questions email me crysis_05@yahoo.com
