I just moved into Indian Hills Apartments. They are currently under new ownership, and also under a renovation. I remember apartment hunting 2 years ago (2006) and driving past this same complex... that's all I did was drive past asn kept driving. The Building were hideous and poorly maintained. The grounds were lacking any care whatsoever, and if first impressions are the lasting ones, I wasn't about to waste my time investigating the interiors. Currently if you drive past the very same apartments, you'll see a large sign reading "Please excuse our mes during our million dollar renovation" Next you'll probably notice the mess they are refering to. A couple piles of dirt and debris here and there. But if you look past this "mess" you'll see new sidewalks being poured. The brand new lawn they will be seeding shortly. The Fresh new siding and masonry on all the exterior facias of the buildings. The old garages that are being demolished as I type this very review to make room for expanded and resurfaced parking. And if you look even further, and make it to the interiors, you'll see new carpet in the units. New furnaces and windows. Brand new appliances in many units, and new light fixtures, tubs and sinks in most. Also the old rotting balconies have been replaced by new solid ones. And what you may begin to wonder is this- all this only cost a million dollars' I must say that the one area of the buildings I think needs attention is the hallways. they could use new carpet and paint, but this might be something in the works that simply lacks priority. Indian Hills apartments are definitely the best value in Sioux City. If you have impressions of the complex from years ago I highly suggest you stop by and have your mind changed.
