It takes more than nice landscaping

This complex is now under new management. Unfortunately the new management is not focused on making tenants happy. The maintenance department isn't able to keep up with day to day repairs. Even things in the entryways and common areas, for example a broken window, will go unrepaired for 9 months. When they get around to repairing things, they usually fix it the quick way instead of the right way. You'll have to call them to your apartment multiple times because the same problem will keep happening.

The aesthetic quality of the buildings is poor. Because they don't have housekeeping come through enough, the hallway floors and walls are often dirty if there are no units for rent in your building. They don't use padding under the carpet and all floors are concrete so it's uncomfortable to take your shoes off. They often have mismatched wood colors and fixtures within the same room. When they paint before you move in, they do a crappy job and don't even cover nail wholes, scrapes, dents, etc. They don't take care to keep anything inside looking good. The landscaping outside is well done and probably the best feature.

Although parking is not assigned, some parts of the complex don't have enough parking. You'll have to park by another building if you live in certain areas. No garages are available and there is a large waiting list when/if they do become available.

You usually don't hear voices from your neighbors, but you'll hear heavy walking, pounding, and bass from music through the walls and floors.

There are much nicer apartments in the area for the same or less money. The nice landscaping is only a first impression and will not make up for everything else in the long run.

First of all, they have housekeeping, and secondly, I walk around barefoot all the time and the floors aren't hard. In fact, I can fall asleep quite comfortably laying on our living room floor. Thirdly, we have never had a problem finding a place to park and I've never had a noise problem either. They are excellent, nice apartments.

I think the two users orangeapple and standrews86 are accounts used by the management to defend their shortcommings. My apartment sounds a lot like this review. No effort was made at doing a good job repainting the walls. Nail holes and dents were not fixed in ours either. You can see crusty blobs of paint all over the walls. All our appliances are outdated and they used the cheapest and ugliest fixtures (lights, bathroom cabinets, faucets, door handles).

These apartments have potential and WERE probably really nice when they were new in the 70's. The management and maintenance has done a VERY BAD job at keeping them looking nice.
