Apartments are nice, Management and staff are rude and inconsiderate

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
I have lived at the Fountains for about a year. I like the layout of my apartment and the location of the fountains because it is close to the interstate as well as shopping. I have had some trouble with the office staff losing my work orders and having to call multiple times to get things fixed in the apt. Sometimes getting something fixed takes a few weeks. Also while I have lived here the racquetball court nobody was allowed to use because it was flooded before I moved in. Also the tanning bed is old and does not work very well. I am very pale and I would tan for 20 mins the very first time I tanned and I didn't burn. The gym equipment was very old and did not work. Apparently, they just updated some of the gym equipment and moved it to where the game room/rec room was so it may be better now.
While I have lived here it seems like the staff has initiated new fee's for things, that they do not give notice to tennants about. I feel like the office staff esp. the manager of these apartments are only concerned with making money and not with tennant satisfaction and happiness. Rent adds up with extra costs they add on to your rent, cable, garage, pets if you have them, fees they did not tell you about then charge you for and are unwilling to throughly explain. I feel like if you are paying 1000/month and over for living at this complex you should get what you are paying for and I do not feel that way.
I am moving out of these apts. I think I would stay and would pay the 1000 and up rent if the management was nicer. The layout of the apts is nice. What is in the apts is pretty standard for apts, it is cheaply made and can/could break/dent/scratch/stain easily. Sometimes I hear the people in the apts around me but for the most part these apts are pretty quiet and clean.
Hopefully not everyone has the same experience as I have had with the staff at these apts. Our neighbors did not feel like they were getting what they paid for in an apt. and felt also that the staff was rude and always felt like they were bothering the staff if they had to ask for something. They ended up moving out early.
My advise is to really observe the staff and manager of this apt complex before you move in. Make sure they will show you the unit you would be renting before you sign the lease because they are not like the model apts they show you. The model apt is WAY nicer than the standard apts. Also remember that the extra's they claim you are getting you aren't able to use because they are out of order or old. Compare this apt to others before you sign a lease! Also make sure if you sign a lease you read everything very carefully!!! These apts seem like they like to get you in a bind where you owe money for "hidden" things that the office staff claims are in your lease but really are not.
