I've been an apartment dweller for the last 10 years and Olde English Village is the best of the bunch.

When we moved in they did a great job of going over the lease with us making sure we understood everything and answering questions. The office staff as a whole is great-they're friendly, prompt, and really good at what they do. The base deposit was only $99 and we payed an additional amount for our cat which seems to be standard these days. They also provided a bonus of $100 a month off rent the first year with a 12 month lease. When we resigned with them they gave a renewel bonus of $50 off a month for a 12 month lease. Compared to other West Des Moines apartments the rent is a good value-it's larger and nicer than other apartments we looked at that were more expensive.

The maintainance staff is wonderful too. They longest I've ever had to wait to have something fixed was 2 days(and it was a minor thing). Most of the time they're there the same day. We called after hours maintainance once about a problem with our drain and they came right away and took care of it and were very nice about it.

The grounds are well kept and nicely landscaped. They do an excellent job plowing and clearing the walks in the winter. The pool is great and well maintained. The children's playground is a great bonus too-my little girl loves to play there.

The apartments are nicely sized. We have a two bedroom and the master bedroom has a huge closet-it's like a small room. Everything is up to date and well maintained.

All in all a great place to live and I doubt we'll move out until we buy a house.
