Regency Woods is the best West Des Moines value for your money if you have a dog. The do allow large dogs which is VERY hard to find. I paid 515 per month for my one bedroom which was very reasonable. I felt secure in the area.

The office staff was only luke warm at the begining, and then was downright unpleasant after I bounced a check for my rent once (hey, it happens). I fought for a year to have my garbage disposal replaced. It never was, they only "fixed" it. I notified them on the first day I moved in that the lock on my sliding glass door did not work. I asked that it be replaced. Their solution was a stick in the door. I asked again on several occasions to have this fixed and it never happened.

When I moved they did need to replace my carpets, which was $1,200.00. This seems quite steep to me.

I didn't have problems with noise or safety at all. This property seems to be filled with young dog owners. It is a good choice if you have a dog and are looking for something cost effective.
