Granted...I lived at Signature Place a few years ago, being a transfer from Chicago, and certainly know about apartment hunting as I've lived in many. The people that I dealt with were pleasant and I decided right then and there with the leasing agent that was where I wanted to be...I had already been to several that didn't impress me at all. I never had problems with management afterwards. I did like living there for the most part and learned to take the good with the bad like ANY PLACE I've lived.
The ups had to be the location and I did like the set up of my one bedroom apartment. The dining area was separate from the living room area, which I liked. It was kind of quiet, and yes, the interstate was right there. People complain about high utilities, but I just think that's just everywhere because nowadays, energy prices are so high. I liked the exercise facility, which was open 24/7 and the pool area was great during the summer. OK...so some of the downs...
I would have loved to have rented a washer/dryer, but there were none available when I moved...so I did have to do my laundry 2 buildings down...not the end of the world...the mailbox was 2 buildings the other direction...but it made for a nice walk in either direction, but maybe not in the winter. Yes, I did here the footsteps of the person above me, but you probably get that anywhere too. I think the one thing that really got me was at 4:00AM when there was a huge thunderstorm when the fire alarm went off in my apartment and then the entire 12 building complex was going off waking everyone...that was kind of "SCARY" but at least we knew the fire alarms worked :) I guess I turn negatives into a positive, but to make a long story short, I would totally recommend Signature Place. Not every apartment is going to be "Perfect". Oh...and the prices of the apartments were VERY REASONABLE, I moved back to the Chicago Suburbs and pay almost double, but then the cost of living is different
