Inside the apartment looks nice at first glance but after you have lived here for a while you realize how cheaping built and maintained it is. We have vaulted ceiling and that makes the place seem bigger. The appliances are not all that great. The seal on my refridgerator was falling off and maintence glued it instead of replacing it. Of course four weeks later it was falling off again and they just reglued, again. The fridge door has rust spots all over the door. They don't want to replace that eiher.

The electric bills have been astronomical. Because the air conditioner is in the living room, you have to put a fan in the hall to move the air into the bedrooms and run the ceiling fans. Also the noise from the air conditioner makes it impossible to hear the tornado sirens outside. The window quilts are great for privacy if they worked. The quilts reqularly come off their tracks and maintence has to be called.

I can hear every noise my neighbor make and I don't even share a wall with most of them! The fire doors at the ends of the halls are very heavy and so everytime some one goes in or out they slam. The apartment that I do share a wall with, I hear their garbage disposal and their flushing toliets.

The landscaping is nice. It would be even better if they weeded all those pretty flower gardens. The roses look real pretty with big thistles growing around them. There is trash scattered all over the grounds and it is rarely picked up. When they do mow in the summer they wait till the grass is about 5 inches tall and then they don't pick up the grass clippings. All of this adds to the look of neglect. Snow removal is terrible and dangerous. Not much thought is put into where they put those piles of snow. They often pile snow on corners so it even more difficult to see if a car is coming before you pull out. The complex has several of these blind corners even without snow.

Broken glass, beer bottles and used condoms are the norm on and in the playground equipment.

The laundry rooms are on the first floor in the building I live in and so not very convenient. The washers and dryers can be operated with quarters or a laundry card. The laundry card is nice but when they stop working any money you have on the card is not refunded. It has taken as much as 8 weeks for them to fix washers and dryers. That makes for grand fun when you have 24 apartments in one building trying to use 3 working washers and 2 working dryers.

Beware of the electic guarantee. It is almost impossible to get them to live up to it. Also they advertise high speed internet. NOT ALL BUILDINGS HAVE IT. I would recommend checking with various agencies who do reporting on buisness practices, housing and fire violations.

Sun Praire wasn't always like this, when I moved in 4 years ago the grounds were well maintained. The staff was helpful and the maintance folks seem to care about the job they do. Even though the building is of poor quality, it was nice and I've learned to tolerate the noise. If I had a choice I wouldn't live here.

The WDM schools are the best around and the apartments are near many shopping areas and several large employers.

My advise is look elsewhere.
