I moved into Sun Prairie in February. I had very few problems getting into the apartment. (I had expected needing an extra deposit or co-signer.) My building is one of the original buildings built and the unit itself is well kept. There are no nail holes or damages to appliances. The carpets and linolium was spot free when I moved in. Because I read my lease I was aware that I had to have my carpets cleaned before I could move out. The hallways are clear and cleaned regularly. Trash is removed promptly and then garage units where the trash is collected is fairly well kept.
The lawns are well kept and the maintenace workers come promptly to repair things (like dripping faucet, and put my sliding door back on track).
The washer and driers are well kept also, the $1.05 to wash and $1.05 to dry is a great price. The driers in my building completely dry the clothes all of the way, so I am not spending extra money.
I appreciate the surveilance cameras outside, becuase I feel like they are a crime deturant.
Trash is picked up 2 times a week and I have no problem picking up other small pieces here and there on my way in or out of the building.
My problem with this website is that the people who post most of the reviews here are ungreatful.
If you are complaining about bad kids, report them to management. Or find the parents responcible. If you see something bad happening you should do something about it, or else it keeps happening.
If you are going to complain about the trash, tell the office that it needs to be picked up. Or heaven forbid you do something about it yourself.
I can understand people not having pride in their place of residence, but if you don't pitch in, your residence isn't going to be proud of you. Stop littering. Stop complaining and do something to change it.
If you think that the management is unfriendly or you think that you are being unfairly charged talk to someone about it. Re-read your lease. It's your responcibility to know what it says. AFTER ALL YOU SIGNED IT.
Sun Prairie Apartments are the largest in Iowa. 11,000 units and 3,000 tenants makes it a large place and if everyone does their part there would be nothing to complain about.
Take care of your place. Be considerate of your neighbors, and ask questions. The management tries their best. Everone has their days. Try to be patient. It's not like they don't want to help you.

$1.05 to wash and dry.that nickel goes to the complex just like your vision systems cable bill.Although they get more than a nickel off that.
