The quality of people living here is very low class,calling them scum would be an understatement. The grounds are incredibly unsafe and they do nothing to ensure your safety AT ALL. The staff is incredibly rude. I was told several untrue things regarding my lease before I signed it, they were all lies to get me to sign the lease and when I later confronted them about it the girl that told me the lies denied it to save her own self and pretty much called me a liar. It's ridiculous, I realize it's a large development but Sun Prairie has no regards to their residents and does not care about developing any sort of personal relationship with anyone. They do not care about their residents at all, as long as they get their money whether they are entitled to it or not. I would NEVER recommend Sun Prairie to anyone and hopefully people will read this before they make a decision to move to what is known by most people as the "slums of west des moines". As soon as my lease is up I will never even set foot on the sun prairie property again.

I posted a neutral/positive review earlier, but after moving out, I have to agree. The staff showed my office without notice despite several requests to the contrary, pressured me to move out earlier to accommodate another tenant, and generally bullied me and made my life miserable. I will say that at least they didn't ding me for a lot of repairs like many slumlords. Their staff is terrible. Just plain terrible.

This resident sounds very familiar. In this case the resident wanted to pay her rent late every month without incurring a late fee. Not only was her call returned by the assistant manager and manager, we offered to work through her issue - but just imagine trying to meet our expenses if we let residents pay their rent when it was convenient for them. She has yet to come back in or call. I wouldn't want to go into more of her personal details as a courtesy to her. We hope to hear from her soon.

In response to the staff member that has nothing better to do than search the internet for negative posts about sun prarie (which I have found SEVERAL)the particular tenant you are speaking of was told by one of sun prairies employees that it would NOT be a problem paying rent on the 3rd as that is when the tenant is paid. She obviously just told the tenant this to get her to sign the lease and get her out of there as quickly as possible. Yes, the tenant should have got something in writing regarding this, but mistakenly just trusted the Sun Prairie staff, only to start incurring late charges and have the Sun Prairie employee blatantly lie straight to her to save her own rear end. And then to have the manager return her call also insisting her employee would never say that. Well regardless of what the manager wants to rudely assume, she did lie. And in response to "has yet to come in or call", regardless of most of the residents at Sun Prairie this particular one does work full time and attend school as well. Sorry not everyone has time to come in during the day and fix YOUR mistakes. And to be honest it looks really bad on sun prairie in general when you come to these posts and talk rudely about residents. Bad business practice, but then again who would expect anything less from Sun Prairie staff.
