Not the greatest place in the world!

I have lived at Sun Prairie for 2 years now. My first year was pretty good, except for the loud neighbors upstairs, they stomped around like it was nobody's business and had a child that ran around, screamed, and threw things until at least 9pm, which was not convenient for my infant/toddler child at the time. It wasn't until this past December when things started going down the pot. As everyone knows the winter was pretty bad, and my mom had come to visit me for my birthday, she got in the parking lot, got out of her truck and slipped on the ice. When she got to my apartment she told me she think she broke her wrist. We spent 7 hours in the ER, and the next day had to have surgery. We went to the main office and originally were turned down to even talk to the manager, and the lady was rude, so we started to leave and the girl came running out to get us. We went back in talked to the manager, she never once apologized or said sorry, and tried in every way to make it my moms fault that she fell. The only response we got was , "good luck with the surgery." My moms intention was never to sue, and she told them that, she just wanted the parking lots to be cleaned off better, and they have yet to be, between my son and I we have probably fallen about 6 or 7 times since my moms accident.
Also, as far as maintenance, its not the greatest. One day I was getting ready and my son was playing in the bathroom, little did I know he had stuck something down the toilet, a little while later I flushed the toilet it started to flood, well I was freaking out about that and not thinking straight. I called the on call maintenance guy got his voice mail left a message. 15min. went buy no response, I called again still no answer. It wasn't until my neighbors below me started noticing water coming thru their ceiling and he answered when they called, and came to my place. By this time the water had gone down the hallway almost into my living room. He got it mostly cleaned up, put a couple of fans on it, and said it may start to smell and told me to call during the week and someone would come clean the carpet. My carpet was wet for almost a week, and it was another week before my carpet was cleaned. The smell was almost unbearable, to the point of not even wanting to go back.
I've lived in 2 different buildings the first one I lived in there were kids that ran around, and they were rude and inconsiderate. And also keyed my care writing "---- hole" in the hood of my car. One night I was on a walk and noticed there were 3 other cars that had been keyed with curse words on the hood of the car. Again the main office didn't do anything they said sorry and that was it.
As for my internet and cable, you have 2 choice, Quest which is expensive (for me anyway, I'm a single parent trying my hardest), or this Vision Systems which is a total joke! There have been many times when my internet was down, last summer both internet and cable was out for 2 whole days. Just recently within the last couple of weeks my internet was down from when I got home from work at 5:30 until midnight! And then it was also down less than a week later for about 2 hours. This normally wouldn't be a big deal except that I'm an online student and count on my internet working. I called Vision Systems and they told me "go to the library they are probably on a different internet service." Well that would be great except I don't have anywhere to take my son. I don't have any family around so I was just S.O.L. I failed 2 assignments and a test because of my internet company.
Over all on a scale of 1-10, I give then a 1.

Can't speak for now, but when I lived in Sun Prairie about a year ago, Mediacom cable internet was still an option.

I'm confused about why maintenance was supposed to be responsible for cleaning your carpets and mopping up a mess after YOUR CHILD clogged your toilet??? Here's a tip, if you overflow your toilet, clean the mess yourself (maintenance isn't a maid service and isn't here to clean your floors) and don't flush it again until you plunge it (Sun Prairie provides a plunger in every bathroom). Common sense to me. They even have a water shut off valve behind the toilet if necessary. I guess people like you are why it took me three days to get my broken dishwasher fixed.
