Although my stay at Turtle Creek wasn't that bad compared to some of the experiences posted on this site, I cannot honestly recommend this place for three reasons...the buildings, the buildings, and the buildings.

The buildings look great on the outside but they were thrown up way too fast and attention to detail was overlooked during construction. Cost cutting materials and methods were used on the inside of the buildings to make up for all the money spent on the exterior. My windows leaked badly during thunderstoms and I would have to put cups on the windows to catch the water coming in so it didn't soak my carpet. I would report the leaks and they did at least try to fix it several times by patching the brick mortar on the outside but it never stopped the water. Then there's all the spots where cold air would come pouring in during the winter around the balcony door, windows, and even through electrical outlets. I installed my own extra weather stripping but that didn't stop it all so I had to rip up paper towels and stuff them around the door and windows in an attempt to slow the air coming in. If I would have the temp set to 68 on really cold days the furnance would kick on 4 times an hour for about 10 minutes each time to keep my apt at that temp. Heating bills were way too high and I got tired of just thowing my money away trying to heat the place so I turned the heat down to 55 and wore a coat inside. There is no insulation or sound proofing above the ceiling or in the interior walls. You can hear neighbors sneezing, talking, etc. During August the buildings are infested with crickets and during late fall they are invaded by ladybugs.

I kept my apt in perfect condition and they still deducted B.S. charges from my deposit that other apts in the same area did not. Don't be taken in by how good the buildings look. Other places around town are better.
