I just wanted you to know that you can't be sent a 3 day notice for November rent in December. If you could have shown proof of rent it December, they would have no legal right to come after November rent. They were not diligent in the month of November, so basically they lost the right to sue for eviction until the next month, in which you paid your rent. I think it is great that you paid your November rent, as they could have filed a money judgement against you to recoup those funds, but who knows if they trully would have. Heres some advice for you in the future. Anytime that you have a maintenance request, put it in writing, hand deliver a copy to them with their signature on it stating that they received it. Typically they will have 5 days to complete the repair. If they don't you can file suit against them for breach of lease. That is exactly how I was able to get out of my unpleasant experience with them. Don't let their incompetence become your issue. You have the power now.
