Don't Expect A Lot

I've lived at Wellington for 2 1/2 years now and am moving out soon due to buying a new house. I've enjoyed the location of this apartment complex, the rent is fairly reasonable (if you get one of their specials), the apartments are fairly spacious, and you get a washer and dryer. However, since the units are older the appliances are older (they're slowly but surely renovating some units). So if you get one of the older units expect maintenance problem upon maintenance problem. And yes, like everyone else says, it takes FOR-EV-ER to get someone out here to fix something. I was without a washer/dryer for over a week and my freezer kept getting hot so I had to throw away groceries and was never offered any type of reimbursement. They just replaced those appliances with used appliances and already one of them has broken again. I think they're simply understaffed in the maintenance department. As far as the office staff goes, Cori has always, always been super friendly and helpful and nice. And Travis has been courteous as well when I've spoken to him. Everyone else needs to practice customer service/phone manners.
And, like many others have said already, they do only mow the grass every 2-3 weeks which is ridiculous. And during the winter the sidewalks rarely were shoveled and I had to walk across a 3ft section of thick ice just to get out of my apartment every day. I never had a problem with loud neighbors until recently. Parking is getting to be problematic as I don't think they spread out their new residents they just put them all in one general area. If I don't get home early enough I have to park by another building.
So, basically, if you do want to live here just try to get a remodled unit, otherwise you'll have problem after problem and it will take forever to get someone to fix it. My toilet overflows constantly, my bathtub drain broke, my dishwasher and garbage disposal have have problems, my microwave takes triple the amount of time it should to cook things, my w/d and frige have both had to be replaced, there were water stains on my ceilings that were just spray painted over, there's a spot in my closet that gets soaking wet once in awhile for no apparent reason and takes days to dry up, the utilities are outrageous...so good luck! Don't expect too much and you won't be let down.
