If your child drops a cheerio on the floor, and you don't see it right away, it will be pounced upon by hundreds of ants within minutes! Unbelievable.

The sidewalks never got completely (or even partially) cleared of ice - a few handfulls of salt and a snowblower - a few DAYS after the storm - and that's it. Actually clearing the ICE off the walk never happens - only the snow when you're lucky.

The free two months' rent they started attracted the biggest LOSERS I have ever seen.

People with yippy dogs moved in left and right and rarely cleaned up after their pets.

And birds were allowed to nest in the entryway - which was the only way into or out of my home - and there were droppings EVERYWHERE. Absolutely carpeted with them. I begged - from May until September to get them cleaned. They finally pressure-washed the entry way in OCTOBER. Idiots.

The miniature "washer/dryer" was ancient and barely worked, and none of the doors in the place lined up with their latches due to "settling" so I and my neighbors always had to slam doors. The dishwasher was a joke.

And the clientele (renters) got so bad - people who were leaning over their balcony railing smoking and talking while staring at whoever came and left like complete mouth-breathing, hick ghetto-dwellers. It was awful.

They also never cleared the driveways of ice (only the snow on top of the ice) the whole winter I lived there, so leaving via any of the hilly driveways was an exercise in potential suicide. Absolute NIGHTMARE from the word go.

Oh, and the clientele got so bad that there was litter everywhere all the time - and no one bothered to pick it up. It was a sea of cigarette butts amongst other things - beer bottles, red bull containers, wrist bands from the racetrack, a weird rubber piece from a car - oh, and my favorite - the burned up pan from the idiot upstairs neighbor who left the stove on and left for work - and the maintenance guy had to break in and pull the smoking, burning pan out and throw it on the lawn and rescue her dog and cats from smoke inhallation. That burned up pan sat on the lawn for a few weeks...

The place was a miracle of disgusting-ness and nightmare hellishness the like I've never experienced in my many years as a renter.

One last thing I almost forgot - the Police notices. I have lived in multiple big cities. But this was the first place I lived where a rape and an attempted daylight break-in happened during the 12 months I lived there (according to the police notices that were placed on my door).

Horrific.... absolutely horrific.

I rent at the land of make believe in mister rogers neighborhood. That damn trolley comes and goes and drives me nuts.
