Not worth it

I have lived in my apartment at the 'Landing' for about seven months. We moved in during the summer season, and everything was pretty and the grounds were nice. In the winter and fall it was much different, there is dog poop everywhere! I have a dog so I make sure to pick up her droppings. This is not totally the managements fault, but I do feel like they could do something about it. After reading the other reviews and talking to other tenants here, I think that it definitely matters what building you live to know what kind of experience you are going to have. In my building (P) the parking is terrible, you can pay for a covered parking spot, but in my view I think everybody who rents should be allowed a parking spot. This is not the case at night or on the weekends, because guests come and park where residents are supposed to park. One night we got home and there were absolutely NO spots in the enitre parking lot on the grounds, so we parked in a covered spot that we KNEW wasn't being used or payed for. The car was booted and I had to pay $85 dollars to remove it. The management claims that they can't do anything about it, because they have entirely different company regulate their parking! I constantly feel like the managment just wants as much money as they can get out of every resident and don't care how their ratings are.

basically the apartments at The Landing at Lakeharbor are not worth what you pay for them. $675 a month for a one bedroom apartment is a joke.

oh and there was a shooting in one of the buildings.

I would like to respond to this and give some up to date information. It is true that the management team in the past was not pro-active in addressing animal messes on the grounds, however for the past year they have been very attentive to the animal waste issues and have been addressing people all the time. Parking has also been taken care of and now permits are required and visitors are not allowed to park anywhere other than visitor parking. the Landing is a great place to live and I suggest you check it our for your self before making a decision.
